New creative production spaces open at Løren, Oslo
Press release published on July 16, 2025.
Three new rooms are now available for creative productions within Ring 3 in Oslo.
“Our goal is to offer a complete and professional solution, making it easy for artists, bands and other creatives to bring their full production together in one place,” says Simon H. Eraker, General Manager at Sonic City.

The spaces are specially designed for pre-production and rehearsals, but are also well suited for photography, art and exhibitions, demos, TV production, and other creative projects.
Boksen is the largest room, and is both floating and sound-isolated, with acoustic treatment and large windows that provide plenty of natural light. For those who prefer a controlled lighting environment, blackout curtains can completely darken the room.
“Boksen provides an inspiring work environment, and since it’s so accessible and tailored for most types of productions, we’re already seeing high demand,” says Linn Thomassen, General Manager at Samla AS.
“The room was realized with funding from Kulturrom, which made it possible for us to deliver the quality and size we have today,” she adds.
Since completion in March 2025, several well-known artists have used the space. Among the first was Astrid S, and others like Gabrielle, Cezinando, and M2M have also visited.
Located on the ground floor, Boksen features a large loading gate allowing easy load-in and load-out with no doorsteps or narrow passages.
Boksen complements the other dedicated rooms in the building, such as rehearsal spaces, a dance studio, mix suite, and a previz room for lighting design. Samla is home to several creative and cultural businesses, creating a vibrant and interdisciplinary environment — and offering practical advantages like access to expertise and equipment when needed.
“For those living in Oslo, these rooms make it possible to integrate rehearsals or pre-production into everyday life — without the need for travel or overnight stays. That makes it easier to combine creative work with daily routines, while also cutting costs by avoiding extended time away,” says Thomassen.
“We’re also seeing many people cycling here,” she adds.

The location is close to public transport, and paid parking is available just outside the building. The facilities are designed to accommodate both local users and those traveling to Oslo in need of professional production spaces.
